So it's now 10 days to the release of this game. Have anyone played the beta? What are your thoughts about the game so far?

Personally I think the game idea is bad since I was hoping dice would create a game similar to BF2 but with better graphics and maybe some new features. BF3 is however more similar to BC2 and there are plenty to complain about if you ask me. Instead of 7 classes there are only 4 and they have taken the features of the classes in BF2 and created one class out of them. You don't have ammo limited in mags, instead you have a number of bullets, which is good in games like CS but Battlefield should be very strategic and you can't just spray 10 rounds and then reload. You also can not control how you will throw nades, this was a very important part of BF2 and I got plenty of kills just controlling the power of the grenade.

I will however buy this game and play it due to the fine graphics and due to the fact that BF2 will probably die out completly after the release of BF3. I may dislike some of the new features but I can keep on going further but I think this will do for the moment. :P

I have played BFBC2 for half a year now and I love the game. i also played a lot of BF2 and I loved that game too. But to select one out, I love BF2 more. It just had more of that "battlefield" feeling in it. I hope BF3 will be something I have been hoping for years - a new and an excellent BF game with better graphics but still that good old BF2 feeling. So, I have not played the beta as you can understand now, but I shall buy the game!

I'm not going to contribute with a wall of text, but I'll just say it's a good game, and I'll definitely buy it. The beta was great fun, I had a solid 2.5 k/d ratio (show-off (H)), always running the same tactic... lol. I wonder how it will be playing competitively in BF3. Would be awesome to player ladder games in it. That's actually what I'm looking most forward to. Better start early so you don't get crushed if you start playing competitively later on. ;)

Why N3bz? Because of the game idea or?

Bought another graphics card so I now have crossfire enabled, hope I will be able to play at good graphics settings in BF3. :P

Anyone who prefers MW3 over... over any game, actually, isn't in their right mind.

I don't like the gameplay of Battlefield games, that's just a personal thing. I prefer hyperactive running and bam bam bam, like in classic first person shooters, and the Call of Duty series.

Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4 are the best ones in my opinion, so I don't have anything against the CoD series. It's just that I think the developers have become -- I don't know, lazy? They've earned so much money from Call of Duty, but they refuse to upgrade their engine. One of the many reasons MW2, BO and MW3 lack... originality. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind them using the same engine for World At War and Modern Warfare 2 at all, that's a good amount of games to use the same engine, but when they decided to use the same one for Black Ops AND Modern Warfare 3 (hey, it's 2011 idiots) I just can't find a logical reason as to why they would do that, except for saving money; using an 'o-so-outdated engine (considering how fast developement goes these times). Perhaps they should start caring for their fanbase more, they've lost many people when making Modern Warfare 3. I, too, am going to buy MW3, but still don't like their decisions.

I agree that the new CoD's lack originality. The only thing that has changed is the Single Player, and a few perks and XP issues.
Gotta love quickscoping in Call of Duty 2 ;)

Well thanks kickfoot:P
no but is share your opinion, i think it's really stupid to use an outdated engine, but i like the games so much,
the storyline, the online gameplay (minus the tubers)

Haha yeah, what I loved most about cod 2 was during the campaign when you had smoked a building and enter it them sometimes, out of nowhere a German soldier yells loud and bright like: "Yiiieeaaaaahhhhh!!!" and boom he strike you with his mp40 and you're dead. I think I never have laughed so much when I've died in a game. ^^
