Valve are offering Portal for free until May 24th. If you own it, you'll know how awesome (although fairly short) this game is and hopefully you would also recommend everyone else get it.

Just go on the main Steam store page and under "Spotlight"/"Play Portal Free on your PC or Mac" on the right hand side of the page, click "click here to get started". Alternatively, copy and paste the link at the top of the page into your browser and log into Steam.

allready like it much, you have to think while you play it
not just shoot around with the gun. but i'm allreayd stuck in a level
but i like to try and try untill someday i win:D

Is this the same as the regular Portal which has been out for some time now? In that case I've played it through a couple of times - it is really a great concept which has been implemented using a really interesting and well-made physics engine!

Yes it's still the same, and the best of all is, that it's not a demo version, so you got it in your games list for ever.
Agree with you about the concept, it's a totally different game than other games. Not like wanna kill people, but using your brains to get out of rooms and difficult situations.

By the way, i got an update screen about a new Counter-Strike: Source, with achievements in it and a new engine.
Are we supposed to pay for this? Does anyone know how it works?

do you mean a beta version or a completly new game??

It's the full game, which first was 10€. Now it's free, until 24th may. But if you get it now, it won't go away on the 24th of may.

The CS:S Beta is a beta update, which will be applied soon to everyone anyway, so don't worry about that.

As Pwnzer said, it is the full game and you would be mad to say no to a full free game, especially since it is Portal.
