Hello!

I just quickly wanted to give a heads up on some things concerning our forums.

I have successfully updated our forum software to the latest version of phpBB. The following are words from a phpBB manager.

This release fixes numerous bugs, introduces some major features, as well as improves stability and performance. Furthermore, the internal updater has been updated to detect and solve most conflicts, resulting in a reduction of necessary manual interaction by administrators.

Major new features include the following:

• A better CAPTCHA system - spam will be eliminated as the bots will not be able to register at all
• A better cache system - forums will generally perform slightly faster
• PM reporting - if you for any reason need to report a Private Message, you can now do so
• Quick-reply - you can now easily and quickly reply to threads within the thread itself

Some features I decided to implement:

• Image thumbnails - if you upload images to the forums, they will now be thumbnailed
• New smilies - have a look at the smilies!
• Topic icons in all forums - you can now set an icon to your topic, making it stand out from the rest!

If you do notice any bugs, please report them to me through a PM so that I can fix them!

No, it has been there for quite some time! However, it is disabled for most forums. I will look into solving this!

Bytheway, that DE icon is called a 'Favicon'. It's nice!

I don't know why it's taken me so long to notice but I just saw the new emoticons. Good to see they've been changed Doggie! Unfortunately some look ever-so-slightly blurry (especially ) to me but I appreciate the change, they are much better than the default phpBB ones.

Is the quickreply new? That is really good...
But i dont like the new smileys... The last ones were better...
