Re: Alienware m11x
I've read some reviews and they all say good about the laptop (after all, it is an alienware) but you have to ask yourself this: Is it worth the money? and Are you ready to spend that ammount on a laptop when you can buy a desktop with the same components to a lower price?

In my opinion there are 3 categories,
Apple
Alienware
Normal
apple and alienware are the most expensive.
apple is in my eyes worth to go the extra 600 euro's because of the extended battery life, apple os x
and just the design.
Alienware is in my eyes overprices with no extra's to the normal systems.
The place i am doing my internship has 2 owners, and funny enough they both got
the best of each side.
one has a 17 inch macbook pro with all extra's on board
one has a 17 inch Alienware with all extra's inside.
and if i had to choose i would pick the macbook everyday.
a alienware with I7 clocking around 3.3 6 gb ram and 500gb is very expensive and
if you would buy this with a brand, lets take acer, you would easily win 400 euro's.
A macbook isn't comparable to a normal windows pc, different parts different os.
In your position i would go for a decent I5/I7 laptop with 4/6 ram and a very nice ati radeon hd 5/6 series graphic card.
You can get this 15 inch for around 600 euro's and have a nice battery time line, alienware you will go
Easily over the 1000.

If I would ever buy a laptop, which I am almost sure I would never do, I'd buy a Sony Vaio, or a MSI (~800€)
