Temporary downtime for both servers

Dear members,

As of yesterday, I've been forced to turn off the server computer as the location it's been hosted at will move. This means that until I move back to London and I am able to set-up the computer again there will be no servers online. I apologize for this, and I expect the servers to be back up within a month (i.e. around the 1st of October).

In the meantime, we'll just have to do what we've always done -- taking it easy and survive!

Wishing you all the best for the rest of the summer, and you'll be seeing the server up soon enough!

Of course I give you all a heads-up on this! I realize this may worry some of you but I assure you nothing will happen to the website, the email or my commitment to the community. All that happens is some server downtime.

Hello again!

Here's a quick status update so you know I'm still alive and kicking.

Things haven't gone quite as I hoped regarding my move to London, and so I have not been able to set up the servers again. I do not at this point know when this will happen, but I aim to have it done within a month. That's all I know at this point — I'm getting more to do for every day that passes, so I'm unsure even how next week looks.

I understand your frustration but there is very little I can do at the moment. The only internet I have available has a lovely habit of resetting itself every 12-24 hours. As I rely completely on remote control of the server, an internet reset would be devastating and so I need to work out a way of circumventing this before I can put it online again.

I am truly sorry for this but there is nothing I can do about this at the moment except keep looking for ways to get the server online. I'll see what I can do about it and I'll keep you updated.

Man... this community is so dead, a shame when you consider what it used to be. Who's fault might that be?

Well it's obviously my fault. I'd like to say it's not dead but dormant. As soon as I get the servers up and running again it will spring back to life . And I'm still around, I promise!

Regarding the servers, I can't tell you any exact dates or so. I'm still working to find a suitable location to host the computer.
