IP Address Change

Hello everyone!

I regret to inform you that due to an unfortunate change of network hardware, the BREAKFLOOR and COUNTER-STRIKE 1.6 server have changed their IPs.
This means we will face a transfer period, where regulars will have to find the new IP and join again. I ask you all to sit tight and take it easy - stats are not reset and nothing else has changed!

The new IP addresses are as follows:

81.229.120.80
breakfloor.dream-evil.com
server.dream-evil.com
(the two last IPs have not changed)

As usual, the stats can also be accessed at breakfloor.dream-evil.com and server.dream-evil.com.

Sorry, again, for the inconvenience - please spread the word to all members and regulars!

Just to let you know, breakfloor.dream-evil.com isn't working as a server IP nor stats site. However, 81.229.120.80 does work. I'll try and idle in-game, so people believe it hasn't shut down or something. Let's hope everyone makes the move ok!

It should work within a few minutes ;) . I just changed the DNS settings - the changes should propagate very shortly.

I think we have lost many, many players now when the IP address changed and the server disappeared from the players' favorites.

That is a fairly obvious point to make. Do you have any ideas about how to solve this issue?

I helped out some Estonian players. They asked me where the h3ll did server vanish and I explained them the problem and how to solve it =)! So yeah, I saved 3 players!!!

Hi Ewil, Robert,

I would like to have your MSN details or email details so I can get in touch with you quickly when there is childish behaviour on the server (like at this very moment)
There is both teamkilling, trenching and also team upping going on. Two players TK their team and then dont shoot eachother and just fool around while the dead teammates have to watch forever.

Please get back to me by email (wont read this board):
chicooverkempe@gmail.com

Thanks!

Chico (G-Force)

Both servers are currently OFFLINE. This is because a thunderstorm burnt the modem handling all the network traffic to/from the server. I have ordered a new modem, but until it has arrived I'm afraid the servers will stay offline. If you have any questions you can reach me through PM!

Haha thunder in Sweden too? Didn't matter for the CS:S server, though. The server version wasn't the same as the client version, so you needed to update it first.

UPDATE: the new modem has arrived and all seemed good. There was no IP-change as I expected, however it seems the thunderstorm fryed the internal network card. I am right now transferring the gameservers to another server computer I own - I will start the gameservers as soon as possible again.

My apologies for this, but there was very little I could have done. I hope you all understand.

UPDATE 2: the servers are now online on my second server computer. Please report any performance differences if you notice any!
I will be off for holidays for one week (back the 23rd). If you get any issues when connecting or so, please contact me via PM! Thank you!
